Giorgi Gigashvili is one of the brightest young pianists in Europe — a protégé of Martha Argerich and a laureate of international competitions. On 6 February he performs in Almaty at Almaty Theatre.
Giorgi was born in Tbilisi. At 13 he won the Georgian version of The Voice and could have become a pop star. Instead, largely thanks to meeting Martha Argerich, he chose classical music.
Today he performs on Europe's leading stages — with the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Gewandhaus Orchestra and the SWR Symphony Orchestra — and has been featured in The Guardian.
